Equipment Rental Terms
Welcome to OceanWorks Equipment Rentals. These terms and conditions govern the rental of our scientific and marine instruments. By accessing our inventory, you agree to abide by these rules to ensure the safety and integrity of our equipment and your research operations.
Equipment Use and Handling
All equipment is provided in a tested and operational condition. You agree to use the instruments only for the purposes for which they are designed. Any misuse, unauthorized modifications, or damage to the equipment during your rental period will result in a full charge for repair or replacement, as determined by our technical team.
Rental Duration and Security
Rental periods are strictly defined in the quote provided. Late returns will incur a daily administrative fee of $100. A security deposit may be required to cover any potential damage. This deposit will be refunded in full upon the safe and complete return of all equipment.
Insurance and Liability
By renting from OceanWorks, you acknowledge that we are not liable for any direct or indirect losses, including but not limited to data loss, equipment failure, or personal injury. You are responsible for ensuring that your team is trained in the safe operation of the specific equipment being rented.
Shipping and Delivery
OceanWorks Equipment Rentals currently ships equipment within the United States only. The Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Equipment must be packaged appropriately for return shipment, using the original packaging when provided. OceanWorks is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances outside of OceanWorks' reasonable control. Expedited shipping or special shipping requirements may be available upon request and may result in additional charges.
